The DSU 7 Clinical Suction Unit is designed to remove fluids from the airway or respiratory support system, as well as infectious materials from wounds.
Features:
Suction Rate: 30L/min
Power Options: AC, DC, or portable battery
The device generates a negative pressure (vacuum) to draw fluids through disposable tubing connected to a collection bottle. The fluids are then trapped in the collection bottle for proper disposal. It is intended for use only under the order of a physician.
Usage: The DSU 7 DJMed suction unit offers variable vacuum levels.
Higher vacuum levels are typically used for oropharyngeal suctioning.
Lower vacuum levels are usually used for tracheal suctioning and procedures involving children and infants.
Applications:
Suction drainage of secretions from blocked air passages
Removal of food particles
Post-laryngectomy or tracheotomy secretion drainage
Management of increased saliva production due to illness
Bronchial damage post-tumor irradiation
Assistance for patients with swallowing difficulties following a stroke, coma patients, or cystic fibrosis
Geriatric oral hygiene
